Album Name: How To Be A Human Being - 10/10
A phenomenal album. Just about every song hits you right in the chest, and I listen to multiple songs from this album regularly. Each song is written from the perspective of a different character, partially based on real stories they heard while promoting their previous album.
Songs:
Life Itself - The person that you are is, on a fundamental level, not in line with the way society demands you to be. It's the first song by Glass Animals I ever heard, and it is still one of my favorites. it's one of the only ones that hasn't made me cry.
Youth - A deceased mother singing to the child she left behind. She hopes that, despite her absence, that her child will be happy. She cannot guarantee this. Definitely made my eyes a little bit damp.
Season 2 Episode 3 - A song about that person you know that does nothing all day but sit and watch cartoons/television(and I'd like to add shortform content to that), and the mixed feelings that come along with witnessing somebody waste away in what could quite possibly be depression. You want to say something. Would you be overstepping? Are you overreacting?
Pork Soda - You've fallen out of love with the person you thought that you would spend the rest of your life with. You want it back. You want to return to the times that you remember, to do the things you used to do with your partner. You are not the same person that you were back then. Your partner is not the same person they were back then. You cannot go back.
Cane Shuga - You
